At an MSRP of $799, the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 700 3LCD Video Projector is a very good value. With a compact design, this projector can be placed just about anywhere. The native 1280x800 native pixel resolution and impressive 2,000 lumen output capability, combined with a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, provide very good image quality from high definition sources. Top Picks - Upscaling DVD Players  from your  Home Theater  Guide
DVD continues its penetration into retail stores and consumer's homes at an accelerated pace. Even if you don't have a high-end TV or home theater system, you can still enjoy the benefits of the DVD revolution. However, if you do have a higher end system or TV, even today's inexpensive players have a wealth of features. Here are some entry level players to consider.

1) OPPO Digital DV-983H Upscaling DVD Player
The OPPO DV-983H is a power house of a DVD player. HDMI connectivity and 720p/1080i/1080p upscaling using Anchor Bay VRS technology enables the DV983H to deliver an excellent picture on an HDTV. 2) Toshiba XD-E500 Upscaling DVD Player With Extended Detail Enhancement
With the demise of HD-DVD, Toshiba has taken a path to improve the upscaling capabilities of standard DVD players. With improved 1080p video upscaling capability over previous Toshiba upscaling DVD players, the XD-E500 delivers a very good picture on an HDTV. In addition, the user also has some control over sharpness, color, and contrast, which compensate for variations in DVD source quality. Although not as good as Blu-ray the Toshiba XD-E500, priced at $149, provides good viewing of DVDs. 3) Sony DVP-NS700H/B DVD Player
Looking for an upscaling DVD player for less than $80? If so, then check out the Sony DVP-NS700H. The DVP-NS700H is a single tray player, with HDMI and progressive scan component outputs, and is playback compatible with most types of CDs and recordable DVD formats. In addition, the DVP-NS700H also featues 1080p upscaling capability through its HDMI output. In addition, for audio, this player offers both Digital Optical and Digital Coaxial outputs for better flexibility with a variety of home theater receivers. With Blu-ray Disc players priced at $299 or higher, an upscaling DVD player is certainly an attractive alternative for the time being. Compare prices for both the Black and Silver versions.
