Money Saving Tip: Buying Refurbished Products
Spring is almost here, and it is a great time to buy home theater and consumer electronics products. This is the time of year when manufacturers begin to flood store shelves with new models.
However, while this is great for the consumer who is looking for the latest and greatest, the introduction of new products creates a dilemma for retailers - How do you get rid of the remaining stock of old models, previous customer product returns, and newly-repaired service items taking up valuable space in their warehouses and store shelves? This is even more of a concern now that the economy has taken a decisive downturn; more of "last year's" products are still on the shelves.
This is where the annual Spring clearance sales come in. One category of clearance item that pops up this time of year is the "Refurbished" product.

Sony Debuts New Line of Affordable Home Theater Receivers for 2009
At its recent 2009 Open House in Las Vegas, Sony announced its latest line of budget-priced Home Theater Receivers that bring more advanced features to the consumer. The four new Home Theater Receivers: STR-DN1000, STR-DH800, STR-DH700, STR-DH500 all feature 1080p/60 and 1080p/24 pass through HDMI switching, AV Synch, and Digital Media Port (for connecting iPods and other digital audio players).

Sony Announces New Blu-ray Products For 2009
If you haven't upgraded your home theater with a Blu-ray Disc player, Sony has announced two standalone Blu-ray Disc players and two Blu-ray equipped Home Theater Systems at its recent Open House that may be just the ticket.
