Hello customers,

We know how frustrating your shopping experience was on Wednesday. We
tried everything within our power to speed up the system, but our T1
lines just maxed out and refused to oblige.

Please accept our most sincere apologies. We definitely anticipated a
huge turnout on Wednesday, but the number of people who visited our
website was four to five times more than we had projected.

Our T1 lines got so overcrowded that page-loading time slowed to a
crawl. The systems department added dozens of back-ups, but the
congestion could not be cleared. We could only stand by and watch in
horror, wringing our hands and trying to come up with a contingency
plan.

Finally, we decided to give you back your big sale until Saturday
(February 28). Buy everything you missed out on Wednesday. And expect
our website to perform with its usual efficiency.

For a company that prides itself on service, the Wednesday sale was a
debacle for us. Please know that your inconvenience will not be
forgotten. We will win back your good opinion with more surprise sales
in the future.
