A Note from Linda:

Hi Criss,

If you weren't watching your email box, you may have missed the fastest contest we've ever run at Scrapper's Guide.

Digital Scrapbooking Magazine gave away a free subscription to one lucky winner at Scrapper's Guide in honor of Digital Scrapbooking Day, Saturday, November 1.

I found out about it the day before, and the name needed to be in right away, so that's why the contest only lasted a little over one day and was a combination of skill and luck.

The winner of the contest was Canay who wrote: "I love digital scrapbooking because it brings out the creativity in me that I never knew I had."

american funky starCongratulations, Canay, and thanks to everyone who wrote such witty, touching, and laugh-out-loud statements!

U.S. Citizens: Time to Vote!

November 4 is election day here in the United States, and what an interesting election season this has been.

This is my daughter's first time to vote for a president. She takes her place in the grand procession of citizens the world over who take their responsibility to vote seriously.

Funky Stars

Do you like my funky star in honor of elections? I made it using Jenny's instructions in the Tip of the Week and then made my own designs.

Read Jenny's tutorial and try it yourself!

Love and scrapbooking success,

Linda

Tip of the Week:

irregular starSlightly Irregular Stars

by Jenny Binder

Sometimes I have trouble being random. If you told my husband this, he would laugh himself silly because I tend to be pretty random in my personal life, but for some reason on my scrapbook pages, I have a need for things to be balanced, straight, and equally spaced.

Today's tip shows you how to create irregular stars, which is one way I can incorporate a little "random-ness" to my pages...without creating a need for therapy!
