Ford Family Programs

Ford Family Programs at MoMA introduce children and adults to the richly varied world of modern and contemporary art through gallery conversations, art workshops, artist talks, film screenings, activity guides, and Web sites.

Check out what's happening this month:

Tours for Fours. Our theme, Express Yourself! Body Language, looks at the gestures, postures, and facial expressions of the figures we find in modern and contemporary art. For four-year-olds and adult companions.

A Closer Look for Kids. The Art of Abstraction explores different ways artists use line, shape, and color to create abstract compositions. For five- to ten-year-olds and adult companions.

Family Films. Join us for Puzzles and Predicaments, as we screen four short films about everyday problems with some creative solutions, including Maciek Albrecht's Knuffle Bunny (2006), based on the book by Mo Willems. Suggested for children ages five and up.

Watch This! Films for Tweens. The final two films in our It's My Life! series include the classic independent film Breaking Away and the runaway hit Billy Elliot. Fighting internal, family, and community pressures, these characters muster the courage to follow their hearts and fight for what they want. For eleven- to fourteen-year-olds and adult companions.

We hope to see you at Ford Family Programs at MoMA!
