Welcome to today's Inside PCMag.com newsletter.

The T-Mobile G1 phone's release didn't create the same amount of buzz as the iPhone's, and stores reported that G1 traffic was modest, with at times small lines. Do you think that the lack of interest is due to the weakened economy, or because consumers don't want to switch to T-Mobile? And if the iPhone didn't exist, would the G1 be more of a hit? Discuss this in the forums.

Review Roundup: Is the MacBook Overpriced?
Windows users thinking of converting to a new 13-inch MacBook might be curious to know exactly what they'd be getting in the $1,299 and $1,599 versions. So, we've put together a chart of comparable Windows-based laptops, and included the previous-generation Apple MacBook 13-inch (Penryn), to see what you'd be getting (and what you wouldn't) at these prices.

Feature: The 25th Annual Technical Excellence Awards
One month out of the year, our analysts and editors step back from the fancy interfaces and shiny hardware and gather to decide what new technologies deserve to be honored. Here are 15 technologies that have truly changed the game.

Column: America Needs White-Space Broadband
It takes a lot of money to run miles of wires, so plenty of people in rural areas are stuck with slow dial-up or unreliable satellite connections. White-space wireless promises to fix this lack of broadband connectivity. Mobile Devices Analyst Sascha Segan explains in his column how we can push for white-space access.

Bargain Hunt: Tablet PCs
Tablet PCs come in handy if you have the sort of job that has you on your feet and taking notes or entering data on the fly. These fully functional touch-screen laptops have always cost a pretty penny--until now. Score one of these hot deals from Lenovo, HP, or Fujitsu.

Review: Pretty in Pink (or Red, White, or Black)
Need to bring some color into your computing world? The Sony VAIO VGN-CS190 is a drop-dead-gorgeous laptop that is highly configurable and comes in four fun colors. You can dress it up with the best parts and pay a hefty price, or budget yourself and still get a Blu-ray–equipped laptop for around $1,200. Learn more in our hands-on review.

Plus: Virgin Mobile Goes 3G
Virgin Mobile's first 3G phone, the $99 Shuttle, is loud, integrates GPS, and includes a local search app.

News: Samsung Blu-ray Players Add Netflix, Pandora Services
On Thursday, Samsung announced that it would partner with the online video disc rental company Netflix and the music recommendation and Internet radio service Pandora. Both will bring Internet-based multimedia streaming features to Samsung's BD-P2500 and BD-P2550 Blu-ray players. More details in our report.
