Make Big Money on the Big Beach

8.27 p.m.
Long Beach, California

Dear International Living Reader,

It’s Day Two of International Living’s “Live and Invest Overseas” Conference. And Fortaleza is generating a lot of buzz.

Fortaleza’s spectacular beaches have long attracted wealthy Brazilians from the south looking to escape the crowds. In recent years, thanks to the strong euro and the six-hour flights from Madrid, a flood of Europeans have also been pouring into Fortaleza, snapping up properties by the thousands.

To say that the city is in the midst of a real estate boom is putting it mildly. Just ask Lee Harrison, IL’s Roving Latin America Editor. “When I was in Fortaleza recently, a developer I know released a 232-unit beachfront high rise to the public at 7 p.m. in the evening. By the time I made it to the site the next day at 11 a.m., 80% of the units were sold. By noon, they were all gone.”

Peter Menedis is at our Long Beach event offering beautifully appointed condos on the beach near Fortaleza for well under $100,000.

His prices have already appreciated some 20% in the past year...and I have a hunch that not long after thousands of American tourists start stepping off Delta’s new flights, they’ll be worth 20% more.

There’s no reason the investor making those profits couldn’t be you. (Only two units remain in Peter’s 36-unit Palm Beach project...and I imagine they’ll be sold by the end of our three-day pow-wow. But he has two new projects going up...and by ordering the entire conference recording here you can get details on dozens of other similarly cheap and attractive Brazilian opportunities.)

Scouting 7,419 Miles of Coastline--So You Don’t Have to

From what I’m hearing from Lee Harrison, the cheapest and most desirable bits of Brazil are all concentrated in the northeast coast. Thank God he’s narrowed it down for us, because with 7,419 miles of coastline, finding the best beach property in Brazil has got to be backbreaking work.

Lee showed us apartments overlooking the sand for $37,000...old ceramic-covered colonial buildings right on the water for $92,000...lots on the beach for $24,000...and gorgeous beachfront houses under bowing palms for $95,000. (These kinds of places fetch $1.5 million in the Bahamas or Virgin Islands.)

Wherever you end up in Brazil, the government makes it easy to stay as long as you want. You can get a retiree visa on an income of just $2,000 month...or on an investor visa if you put $50,000 into the country. There is no tax on foreign income and you can import your household effects tax-free. But enough about Brazil for the moment...I’m off to Italy.

Drinking Mama’s Wine

As Massimo Tommaso d’Alicandro poured me some of his mother’s home-made Ratafia--an old family recipe of vino Montepulciano and cherries aged for six years--he extolled his native Abruzzo to me. “I live up in the hills but I can be down at the beach in five minutes on my bicycle” he said.

After 12 years studying and working in Oxford, Massimo grew homesick for the fresh air and relaxed lifestyle he grew up with. He now caters to investors around the world looking for a little piece of Italy to call their own.

La dolce vita is alive and well in Abruzzo--and it won’t cost you much. Massimo showed me properties ranging from a small village home for $13,500...to a 12th-century palazzo with vaulted ceilings for $700,000...to a 17th-century monastery refashioned into an enchanting home for $1 million.

Want to start smaller? For just $58,500 you can move into your own mini-castle overlooking a valley. In fact, Massimo has 376 properties selling for under $60,000.

Some are in rough shape, but many look identical to villas I’ve seen myself in Tuscany--but they’re only 20% of the price. And they’re only an hour away from Tuscany!

An Embarrassment of Riches

I could go on and on but I think you get the idea: there are some awfully beautiful and exciting and cultured places in the world where you can live for a song.

And I haven’t even mentioned France yet, where you can still buy impossibly charming cottages for less than $80,000.

Or Belize, the tiny English-speaking bit of Central America where you can sail, fish, scuba dive, hike, go cave tubing...even practice amateur archeology among the Mayan ruins...all while enjoying the best and cheapest seafood you’ll ever have.

So why not get it all for yourself? Just reserve your copy of the Conference Review Kit being compiled at this moment. It gives you every single insider’s tip on creating the perfect lifestyle abroad that our 54 experts here shared with us at the conference.

You’ll hear from attorneys about the legal wrinkles of buying abroad. What you need to do before you move. How to get title insurance. How to ship your belongings. How to take care of your money matters. Everything.

You also get contact information for all the realtors and developers who are here, so you can go straight to the source of the property bargains.

We're also making electronic copies of their hand outs, PowerPoint and visual presentations. Plus you get the extensive package of resources we give to each attendee when they come through the door.

This 203-page online bible of overseas-living tips gives you every contact, address, phone number, website and other referral our speakers think you should know about...PLUS two comprehensive special reports:

How to Prepare for a Move Overseas and Pockets of Prosperity: Six Top Destinations Around the World Where You Can Invest for Profit and Live Well for Less.

You’ll also get 11 detailed country reports with all the need-to-know information for anyone considering a move to Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, or Uruguay.

In some ways, getting this kit is better than being there in person. You can listen to all the presentations, even those held simultaneously.

And you can listen to them at your leisure...skip around to what interests you most, take notes at your own pace. Most importantly, you can listen to them as many times as you like, so you don't miss a thing.

For $299, Get What Others Paid $895 for

The conference attendees I’m sitting to right now paid up to $895 each to get this information first-hand. And I haven’t met a single one who is unhappy with the treasure trove of information they’re getting in return. Acting on just one of the tips I’ve heard today can easily pay for the price of this conference.

You can reserve this event kit for just $299 until midnight, October 9.

We need to know how many people will access this information. And the sooner we know, the better. So order your Live and Invest Overseas Conference Review Kit in the next 48 hours, and we’ll knock $200 off the list price. Instead of paying the regular $499, it'll only cost you $299.

Our 48-hour timeline means this offer is only open until midnight on Thursday, October 9.

You can still get one after that, but you’ll have to pay the regular price of $499.

So reserve your kit now. The price won’t go any lower, just up.

One more thing: Because you weren't here with us here in Long Beach, we're throwing in a $100 voucher towards our next conference.

You can use it to attend our next big event...or any future conference or seminar you may be interested in. (If you use this $100 discount, you’re in effect paying just $199 for the entire $895 conference!)

The 54 experts here covered every aspect of living overseas that I had ever thought of--and a few more that I had never even considered. After you've heard them for yourself, nothing will stop you from making your international dreams come true.

Take this first step today--reserve your Live and Invest Overseas Review Kit now.

P.S. Remember, this offer expires at midnight on Thursday. You get $200 off the regular price of the Conference Review Kit, and a $100 voucher toward any of our future events. But you can only get this deal until midnight October 9. After that, everyone pays the full $499.

P.P.S. Afraid this review kit might not address your own unique questions about living abroad? No problem. If it doesn't help as much as you thought it would...just get your money back.

Call us at any time--next month...next year...whenever--and we’ll give you back your $299. The last thing we want is to disappoint our International Living readers. If for some reason the kit doesn’t help your own unique situation, we want to send your money back.
