Federal Horse Slaughter Bill Update: Legislation At Critical Juncture

Newsletter 9/10 AdvocacyOn Sept. 23, H.R. 6598, the Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act, passed through the House Judiciary Committee. It is now up for a vote before the full House of Representatives. If passed, H.R. 6598 will effectively STOP the slaughter of all American horses by banning their shipment to foreign slaughterhouses. Take action by calling your U.S. rep. today!

We work with two companies who will arrange for pick-up and then donate proceeds of the sale to Farm Sanctuary. The process is hassle-free and your donation is tax deductible, as allowed by law.
