Willow Financial Bancorp Inc.'s purchase by Harleysville National Corp. for $169.2 million was approved by shareholders, Harleysville said today.

Spending $100 billion to create 2 million jobs
I really don’t like government subsidizing any industry when the potential market would appear to be incentive enough.

But what’s the market incentive to slowing climate change? Survival?

Thanks to a report by the Political Economy Research Institute of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, we have one possible answer. Spend $100 billion over two years in six particular areas and the U.S. economy could create 2 million jobs.

Quaker-accented Provident National Bank vanished 25 years ago when Pittsburgh National bought it to form PNC. But Provident's investment arm has grown, partly by acquisitions, to be a big player in the mutual and hedge fund service business, and a big local employer.
