Court overturns dismissal of Merck Vioxx lawsuit

NEW YORK - Drug developer Merck & Co. said today that it is considering challenging an appeals court's reinstatement of a dismissed shareholders' lawsuit over the former blockbuster painkiller Vioxx.

Home Health Corp. of America sells the last of its agencies
Home Health Corp. of America Inc., of King of Prussia, is going to have to change its name.

After more than 30 years of providing home health care, it just sold the last six agencies it had to Amedisys Inc., of Baton Rouge, La.

Amedisys announced the purchase on Monday but did not disclose the terms.

Stocks surge on Fannie bailout, but the mess isn't over

The US Government's takeover of money-losing home-loan buyers Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac juiced the stock market this morning, but it's an expensive and temporary solution that'll need a permanent fix under the new President, Bloomberg News reports.
