It's beautiful and sunny in Seattle. Melissa just turned 30 and I attempted a surprise party which almost worked. I couldn't tell her about it ahead of time or she would have gone nuts trying to clean the house. I hired a maid that did a mediocre job but I felt kind of sorry for her. Her husband is in the military and she has five kids and I learned way more about her than I really wanted to and I should have known better because only Melissa and her mom can clean to Melissa's standards. Melissa got home yesterday and freaked that the house was a mess and people were coming over (although it wasn't really bad, just not so clean that you could make computer chips). Thankfully, her mom had nothing going on today and was able to help out. The personal chef showed up this afternoon and it looks like everything is going well now. After a pitcher of mojitos, she'll be fine. I've been smoking some Pepins and Gurkhas this week. Enjoy the specials.

According to David Garofalo who founded Two Guys in 1985, the anniversary celebration will culminate on November 19th with a gala party when the chain will give away the equivalent of a tankerful of gasoline - 10,000 gallons - to a single winning customer.
"That's about 12 years' worth of gasoline for most people," said Garofalo. "We're going over the top this time because we want to show our customers how much we really love them and that we want to help them deal with the high price of gasoline while they enjoy our hand-made cigars," he said. "Premium cigars make ordinary moment's special and special moments extraordinary," Garofalo said. "We want our anniversary celebration to be just as extraordinary."
Previous Two Guys anniversary celebrations have featured giveaways of two Harley Davidson motorcycles, a Hummer H2, 10 all-expense-paid trips to cigar factories in the Dominican Republic, and $22,000 in cash.
"We've got 23 world famous brands participating throughout this year's celebration," he said. "The November 19 event will be held at DiBurros Function Facilities in Ward Hill Massachusetts when more than 500 guests will receive 23 cigars each, prizes, surprises, a complete, five-course Italian meal, live music and entertainment and the chance to meet some of the top cigar celebrities and manufacturers."
Participating brands include Avo, Punch, Cusano, CAO, Heaven, Chateau Real, Oliveros, Camacho, Arganese, Cuvee, Ashton, Tabac Especiale, Excalibur, Rocky Patel, Padron, Defiance, Tabaccos Baez, Oliva, among others. Man, I love it when this happens. You guys know what a second is, right' Thats when a roller either has a senior moment or had a bit to much Cerveza the night before and put out a cigar that wasn't quite up to the standards of the company, but usually these smokes are still smokable and sold at a serious discount. However, when it comes to the La Aurora factory, their seconds are rolled better than some of the big companies firsts, and that is why I've brought you to your beautifully luminescent computer monitors today.
La Aurora has been in business for over 100 years and is the biggest cigar company in the Dominican Republic with numerous 90+ rating across the board. What we have here today are some unusually well made, medium bodied La Aurora Cetros and #4s seconds for $27.95 a bundle! We normally carry these (when we can get our mitts on them. La Aurora normally makes about as many seconds as Lockheed-Martin makes washing machines) but per my constant nagging on whats hidden behind the scenes, we were able to pick up a ridiculous deal on some Cetros and #4 seconds hanging out in the aging room at the La Aurora factory and again, ladies and gentlemen, you reap the benefits.
Their delicious African Cameroon wrappers conceal some of the finest long filler Olor Dominicano and Nicaraguan tobaccos available and the smoke is also unbecoming of a cigar that costs less than $1.12 a stick, with its bold notes of cedar and pepper and just a hint of cocoa. Usually when I describe a stick this cheap, I just check that the thing can be lit and at least resembles a cigar at all, so I'm very happy to be able to go into more detail for a cigar that costs less than a king sized snickers bar. For $27.95 a bundle, You can't go wrong. I only have a limited stock on these before we go on La Auroras big list-o-backorders again, so get them while you can. If one size runs out, your order will be substituted with the next size available so everyone gets a piece of the action.

In Canada, this Edicion Limitada did better than any other. It only makes sense that Habanos S.A. would re-release this cigar beside the long-standing classic Cuban cigars Hoyo's Epicure #1 and #2.
