Your Help Needed to Seal Loophole for Downed Cattle

On August 27, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) published a proposed rule on the “Disposition of Downer Cattle,” and is now seeking your input. Please send your comments today, supporting the USDA’s proposed rule that all downed cattle, including those who become downed after inspection, be banned from slaughter. Don’t miss this prime opportunity to speak up for suffering animals, especially in light of the recent high-profile exposés of the routine, brutal abuse of downed animals by the meat industry. Comments are due by September 29, 2008 but please send yours in today, and encourage your family and friends to do the same! Please take action now to help downed animals.

Open Your Heart and Home to Animals in Need

At Farm Sanctuary, cows, pigs, chickens, and other farm animals are family and receive all the love and special care they need for life. Veganic Farming: A Growing Trend

Combining organic farming methods with vegan philosophy, veganic farmers are cultivating a better way to grow safe, healthy and animal-friendly food. Learn more.
