What are the Directions Media Virtual Job &
Education Fairs? Directions Media will host a series of
three online Job and Education Fairs to bring together employers, job
seekers, students and educators in one-hour sessions using an
Internet-based, webinar format.
When will the Fairs be held? The first of three
Virtual Job and Education Fairs will be September 16th 2008 at 2:00
p.m. Eastern/11:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Directions Media will host two
additional fairs on January 13 and May 12, 2009. Registration for the
first Fair is open now. See details below.
How do the Fairs work? Employers
and organizations will purchase time during the Fairs in either two- or
five-minute blocks. They will submit information in PowerPoint format.
Those reserving a five-minute block of time will present “live.”
Due to time and technical constraints, Directions Media staff will
present the information for employers and organizations selecting
two-minute blocks. Additional time may be purchased in blocks of two
minutes. See details below.
Who will participate? Companies, Organizations and Universities – These
groups are invited to promote employment or educational opportunities
by purchasing “air time” during the Fairs in two- or five-minute
blocks of time. The fees are $895 for five minutes; $395 for two
minutes; $395 for each additional two-minute blocks of time. Reserve your spot today!
Job Seekers and Students –
Anyone interested in careers in the geospatial arena is welcome to
register for the Virtual Job and Education Fairs. Registration is free.
We also encourage you to post your resume to the Directions Magazine
Career Center (www.DirectionsMag.com/careers). However, if you
would like us to forward your resume directly to the sponsors of the
Job Fair for that day, we are offering that service for only
$15.
How do presenting
organizations buy time for the Virtual Job and Education
Fairs? Download the sales order
and fax it to 240-250-7257. Your block of time will be reserved in the
order that the sales form is received. Orders are on a first come,
first serve basis. If you have a specific block of time during which
you want to make your presentation, we will try to accommodate your
request in our schedule.
