#3 Ask Azna, Spiritual Advice that Gets Personal

AUG 19, 08- DEAR AZNA



Dear Azna,

I'm living by myself and in a precarious
financial situation. I'm studying to finish
my degree - one more year and a bit to go -
but I feel something's got to change soon
or I'll just explode.

Although I'm grateful for having a decent
roof over my head where I feel safe, I
crave a peaceful home where I can think.

I've got the feeling over the years that
spirit is encouraging me to finish this
psychology degree, which I started over
20 years ago but dropped out to earn a
living.

And now I'm finally getting back to it,
studying mostly from home.
I'm just miserable
with being stuck in this noisy flat, the
constant disruption of sleep, waking up too
tired to think, and with the poverty which
means I can't afford a car or even to
go out and socialize and get away from
this place for a bit.

Do I pack it in and just get a regular job
right now so I can afford a decent place
and a social life?

I'm right on the edge of making this decision.
But then I'd be repeating the old pattern,
which didn't make me happy either.

Help! Your guidance is appreciated.

Dear Rae,

Yes, please finish your degree.

This will give you a sense of accomplishment
and confidence and will be a Boost to your

Conditions in your housing will improve
as you focus on the peace within your being.

listen to peaceful music. Go to sleep with

have more peaceful sleep.

path to find peace and strength in turmoil.

As you find more peace and joy, your finances
