My Dad the World Champion

Six-foot-two, bald and tough, Don Spero once had a rivalry with a formidable Russian champion. We went to the Potomac Boat Club last weekend and listened in on Don and his daughter, Laura, reminiscing about an athletic rivalry that has achieved mythic status in the Spero Family lore.
