Abilene man speaks out against tax increase
S.C. "Buzz" Jones was alone today in expressing concern about a proposed city of Abilene tax rate increase.
But he left this morning's City Council public hearing hoping other Abilenians will join him when the council holds a second public hearing Aug. 28 and when it votes on the suggested rate increase and 2008-09 budget on Sept. 11.
