Expanded Mechatronic Control Compatibility
Yaskawa Electric America recently unveiled the MP2300Siec MotionWorks IEC Mechatronic Control System with features that include:
Full compatibility with the global programming standards specified by IEC61131-3 and PLCopen. Controller ships with EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP connectivity, 16 digital inputs, 16 digital outputs and 1 master encoder input on base models. The MECHATROLINK motion network provides a channel for configuring the machine from a single location with 1 software tool. The controller is available in 4, 8 and 16-axis.

Compact, Short Stroke LVDTs
DCTH Series compact short stroke LVDTs from RDP Electrosense provide excellent linearity (with options to 0.1% max) and repeatability. Specifically designed for easy interface with control systems and digital/analog conversions, this unit operates from commonly available DC power supplies of 20 to 40V single ended or +10 to +20V dual DC output. Units require no additional signal conditioning. The DCTH Series LVDTs are available in spring operation and free, unguided armature versions.
