Thanks to all of those who sent me their good wishes for successful
shoulder surgery. Everything seems to be going fine, and I'm once
again able to answer your emails and update the site.

**A Tribute to Natalie Wood**
If Natalie hadn't drowned in November, 1981, she would have been 70
years old in July 2008. It's hard to say what we have lost in terms of
great performances. Here’s a tribute to her relatively short but
sparkling career.

**A Tribute to James Cagney**
Jimmy would have been 109 years old this year, and probably still
tough as nails. For somebody who played so many hoods and tough
characters during his career, Cagney was a truly nice guy.

**A Tribute to Ginger Rogers**
She was so much more than Fred Astaire's dancing partner, and she
would have been 97 years old on July 16, 2008. A salute to the one and
only Ginger.

Known to her friends (and there were many) as Missy, Barbara Stanwyck
was one of the most talented and generous actresses who ever graced
the silver screen, with a career which stretched from pre-Code days to
a modern television series, and never once faltered.
