Street Fairs Roundup
AIDS Walk

Leather season kicks off July 27 with Up Your Alley, a down and dirty romp for the fetish set in one of SoMA's ultra-urban alleys. Then the bears come out of their caves Aug. 31 for the Hairrison Street Fair, where the husky and hirsute let it all hang out.

If Up Your Alley is the naughtly little boy of street fairs, then the legendary Folsom Street Fair, is its big, bad daddy. Sprawling through SoMA's streets on Sept. 28, the world's largest leather event is celebrating 25 years of unbridled expression. Closing out the street fair season is Castro Street Fair on Oct. 5. Also in its 25th year, this event is a celebration of the Castro itself, and the spectrum of people who inhabit and visit it.

Lend a Helping Hand
AIDS Marathon

If you really want to leave your heart in San Francisco, take a little time to give some love to one of The City's extremely worthy LGBT charitable causes. Make it a "volun-tourism" honeymoon.

Sign up for the always-popular AIDS Walk (July 20) or the San Francisco Marathon and Half Marathon (Aug. 3). Haven't been training? Not to worry. You can support either amazing cause by lending a hand before and during the big events.
