Keep A Secret and Surprise Your True Love

Hey, guys (or dudes, depending on your generation), here's a slick way to surprise the one you love with a secret romantic getaway. Assuming you can keep a secret until it's time to pack and go. It's a Getaway Grand Prize for the person with the best strategy for "Keeping Romance Alive."

Rekindle your romance at St. Augustine's Casablanca Inn.

The historic Casablanca Inn (circa 1914) in St. Augustine (circa 1565) has announced a cute contest to reward someone who has, in their opinion, the best way to keep the romance alive. So they're asking guys/dudes to send them a quick essay (150 words) about their secret strategy(s). There's plenty of time to think about it - the deadline for submitting entries is November 1, 2008 - so sharpen your pencil or tune up your PC/Mac.

The Casablanca Inn, a 23-room Mediterranean Revival beauty, formerly the elegant Matanzas Hotel during Prohibition and a center of bootlegging activity, is now refined with fine Southern hospitality: verandahs overlooking Matanzas Bay, cool ocean breezes, quiet sunsets, relaxing hammocks and dining on gracious Southern sunrise breakfasts, plus horse & carriages at its doorstep. Its cozy oak Tini Martini Bar, surrounded by colorful art with tables under the stars, maintains an aura of foreign ports o'call. Everything creates a pretty good St. Augustiniana vibe as befits its listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
