Make a Splash with Water Play

When an Amazing Mom from sweltering Southern Oregon was tasked with finding the kid-friendly entertainment during her family summer reunion, she naturally thought of water as the theme.

"You can't beat water games for a summer party or picnic...especially if you are tight on time and money!"

A sponge, ice cubes, balloons, and a bucket can provide hours of cool entertainment on a hot summer day! Check out the AmazingMoms blog to read her fabulous ideas along with a few of my kids' favorites as well.

Last week's item:
Used Board Game Pieces

From our community:
AmazingMoms: "My kids love 'misfit' games! Their favorite thing to do is combine games...with a homemade game board. My son made his own Star Wars game board (really not that hard, just a few boxes in a row with some Star Wars stickers) then using the spinner from one game, and pieces from another he made up his own rules. This is a great learning tool but your kids will just think its great fun!"
