A Note from Jim,

Hot off the press today.. literally 5 mins ago on this one :)

I just got off the phone with Jason the Milwaukee tools representative and he informed me that Milwaukee is now finally offering a "top of the line" 12" Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw.  We've had MANY requests for this over the years so I held off releasing the newsletter this week so we could bring it to you ASAP.

Anyway I spent about 10 minutes grilling him on WHY someone would want to purchase this latest and greatest product from them, no fluff just the key points.  Here is a quick summary of what Jason had to say:

- Dual integrated work lights. (Lighting from both sides of the piece eliminates shadows etc. and ensure you can follow your cut line easier)

- Electronic soft start (Helps ensure your saw lasts longer and puts less strain on circuitry - less blown breakers etc.)

- Digital Miter Angle Readout (This one I really liked myself.. Enables you to digitally ensure that the exact angles you need to cut are maintained each and every time)

- 3 linear bearing slide (Most saws have single bearing slides - Having 3 bearings ensures a smoother more reliable slide)

Here is the link to the saw to get more information if your interested.

Have a great day everyone!

When Choosing a Saw Blade…
A Must Read!

Saw blades are built with different features for different projects. When choosing a saw blade, keep these characteristics in mind:

Teeth Count: Typically speaking, the more teeth a saw blade has, the smoother and more accurate the cut it makes. A typical rip blade might have 24 teeth, a general purpose crosscut blade might have 40 teeth, and a finishing blade may have up to 60 teeth for finer cuts...read more

The Versatile Reciprocating Saw

A reciprocating saw is simply one of the handiest tools you can own. These tools are great for applications in the home or the jobsite. Milwaukee actually invented the first reciprocating saw and is still considered one of the best saws on the market. The Milwaukee Sawzall is the “Zerox” of reciprocating saws. Just go to your local hardware store and ask for a Sawzall, the salesman will know exactly what you need. These versatile tools are fabulous for cutting holes in drywall, plaster, metal pipes and through nails. Click Here to read more!
