COMING SOON: ABBA RADIO ABBA Radio, playing the band's music 24/7, takes over Ch. 3 for two weeks starting Monday. Debuting in conjunction with the release of MAMMA MIA! The Movie - based on the music of ABBA - the channel will feature ABBA's hits along with tracks from the film soundtrack and the original cast recording of the hit stage musical MAMMA MIA!. You'll also hear interviews with ABBA members Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus as well MAMMA MIA! The Movie stars Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan and some of ABBA's celebrity fans, including Dionne Warwick, Alanis Morissette and Joan Rivers. RED, WHITE & BRUCE By all accounts, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's current tour is one of their best yet. They return to these shores later this month; right now, they're in Europe, and you can hear for yourself how great they sound on July 4th, when E Street Radio broadcasts select songs from Bruce's concert in Sweden. Also on the 4th, catch a concert recording by Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes. CELEBRATE WITH SIRIUS FIREWORKS ALL WEEKEND Along with the aforementioned Bruce Springsteen concert, there's lots of other great 4th of July events happening. The Underground Garage's newest denizen, Drew Carey, will be doing a special Independence Day broadcast. (He's a pretty good DJ, and we think he has a future in showbiz.) Radio Margaritaville's main man Jimmy Buffett will play his favorite Dead songs when he Guest DJs on The Grateful Dead Channel. Elsewhere, Moby will Guest DJ on Boombox; 50 Cent and G-Unit will be on Shade 45; and Carrie Underwood fans won't want to miss the Carrie Underwood All American Girl Weekend on New Country, and Donna Summer will be among the disco legends guesting on The Strobe.
