Jeff Halper: Can Israel be Redeemed?
Mon, Jun 30, 2008 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists
1924 Cedar St. (at Bonita)
Berkeley

Jewish Voice for Peace hosts Jeff Halper, director of the Israeli
Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD)

Since founding the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (icahd.org)
in 1997, Professor Halper has spent the past decade resisting Israel's
policy of demolishing Palestinian homes. In 2006, Halper was nominated
for the Nobel Peace Prize. He has served as a professor of anthropology at
Haifa University and Ben Gurion University.

Halpers new book, An Israeli in Palestine: Resisting Dispossession,
Redemming Israel will be available for purchase.

The event is endorsed by the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian
Universalists' Social Justice Committee.

About Jewish Voice for Peace:
Jewish Voice for Peace is a diverse and democratic community of activists
inspired by Jewish tradition to work together for peace, social justice,
and human rights. We support the aspirations of Israelis and Palestinians
for security and self-determination, and seek peace among the peoples of
