| NICKY'S WEEK '08 IS RA SUCCESS! |
Recently, RA offered sushi lovers good food for a great cause during its fourth annual
Nicky's Week fundraiser. From May 25 – 31, RA donated 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of all Tootsy Maki, Edamame, Pork Gyoza, FIJI Water, Red Bull and other select beverages to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which is known for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. |
Not only did RA meet its goal but surpassed it,
thanks to your generous support. The 19
restaurants, together raised more than
$132,000 for St. Jude making it RA's most
successful fundraiser yet! |
Nicky Mailliard, former St. Jude patient
| Nicky's Week was developed in memory of longtime St. Jude patient Nicholas "Nicky" Mailliard who lost a long battle with brain cancer in February 2005. Nicky, the nephew of one of RA's founders, Rich Howland held a special place in the hearts of RA associates throughout the organization. RA developed this annual benefit in honor of Nicky and as a way to further promote the exceptional support provided to all families with children receiving care at St. Jude. |

Since 2005, RA has raised nearly $400,000 for the national children's hospital.
All funds raised help pay for the development of treatment and cures for diseases such as brain tumors, leukemia, sickle cell disease, and other life threatening illnesses in children.

Baseball fans get $1 off
specialty roll with ticket stub.
When Padres First Baseman Adrian Gonzalez turned up at RA, Head Sushi Chef Joao Mezashi wasted no time stepping up to the plate. The quick-thinking chef served Gonzalez his first Padres Roll of the season!
Gonzalez gave it a thumbs-up and RA wants to help keep fans fueled up for a great season by offering $1 off the Padres Roll with a game day ticket stub. |

The specialty roll is available now at RA through baseball season. It is currently being served before every home game during Happy Hour
from 4 to 7 p.m., and also can be sampled during lunch and dinner hours.
For those who can't make it to Petco Park, RA has several large-screen HD-TVs tuned in to Padres games in its boisterous bar. So, swim on into RA and try the Padres Roll – It's a home run! |
