A Smashing Good Time | |
Have you ever woken up in the morning
and just had an urge to wreck stuff?

big hammer to something can be very
satisfying, not to mention therapeutic.
Sometimes my favourite part of a project
is the demolition. Unlike where the
finishing touches of the project get
their beauty from finesse and attention
to detail, the demo part has all the
finesse of a bowling ball going down
a flight of stairs...read

More About Hand Saws | |
A saw actually makes two cuts, one on each side of
the blade. Look closely and you'll see that alternate
teeth are set at opposing angles to the blade's axis.
Chipping away at both sides gives the saw room to move,
known as kerf. The word “points” refers to the number
of teeth a saw has per inch. For most cross cutting
jobs an 8-point saw will suffice, but for finish work
a finer 10-point saw makes smoother cuts. A smaller
version of the standard crosscut saw is known as the
tool box saw. It's only 18 inches long and will fit
in a tool box. Click
