McMahan resigns after guilty verdict |
State Auditor and Inspector Jeff McMahan resigned from office Monday after his conviction Saturday on federal bribery charges. "It is with sadness and regret that I resign my position as Oklahoma state auditor and inspector effective
immediately," McMahan said in a brief letter to Gov. Brad Henry. McMahan's wife, Lori, was also convicted.

Magellan agrees to $5.3M penalty for fuel spills |
Magellan Midstream Partners will pay $5.3 million to cover civil penalties related to fuel spills at 11 different pipeline locations over the past 10 years. Six of the alleged 11 Clean Air Act violations, including the two largest spills,
occurred in Kansas, according to the complaint and consent decree filed Monday in U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.

Remy starts development on Bixby riverfront complex |
The Remy Cos. intends to start construction this fall on South Village, an estimated $55 million mixed-use development along the Arkansas River in Bixby. The Bixby-based company is finalizing contracts for a five-story hotel, an eight- to
10-screen movie theater and a fast-casual restaurant on the 20-acre site facing S. Memorial Drive, along the river's southeast shore. A third frontage lot remains available for another restaurant, said Tim Remy, the construction manager
and principal of the family company. Alongside the theater, Remy will build 100,000 square feet of new retail space. Between that and the city of Bixby's 82-acre Bentley Park development, Remy intends to raise a 10-building multifamily
housing project, either apartments or condominiums.

Irish pub opens in OKC's Midtown |
J. Elliot Nelson leaned back in his chair and breathed a sigh of relief as he sat on the second level of James E. McNellie's Public House, an Irish pub and restaurant in Oklahoma City's Midtown, and reflected on the restaurant and bar that
has been about three years in the works. Nelson, who makes no apologies about being a beer snob, opened the first McNellie's in Tulsa in 2004 and the Oklahoma City branch last weekend.
