Ecology avoids layoffs by shuffling jobs
The Department of Ecology has avoided threatened layoffs in its water-quality program, in part by moving some affected workers to other agency positions.

Duane French of Lacey has been selected to head the Division of Disability Determination Services in the Health and Recovery Services Administration of DSHS. Thuy Hua-Ly of Olympia has been named director of the Division of Rates and Finance in the Health and Recovery Services Administration of DSHS.
