Authorities identify man arrested in date rape drug case
The Ellis County Sheriff's Office has identified 39-year-old Cory Claude Creamer of Dallas as the man arrested in connection with the confiscation of 3 1/2 gallons of GHB, also known as a "date rape" drug.

Native son mourned
Family, friends and fellow soldiers gathered at Boze-Mitchell McKibben Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon to attend funeral services for Waxahachie native Samuel Kyle Yother.

The Ellis County Sheriffs Office drug task force confiscated 3 gallons of GHB, also referred to as the date rape drug, during an overnight drug bust.

Honor for a Patriot
Waxahachie residents lined the streets Wednesday afternoon to pay tribute to Army Spec. Samuel Kyle Yother, a decorated Iraq War veteran killed in a motorcycle crash June 4. Community members held American flags and saluted as the hearse carrying Yothers body returned to his home city. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Boze-Mitchell-McKibben Funeral Home.
