Simple Gas-Saving Solution
According to the government’s tips for improving fuel economy, keeping your tires properly inflated can save you up to $0.11 a gallon (based on $3.72/gallon). On an 18 gallon tank, you’re saving approximately $1.98 per fill-up, or $103 over the course of a year (assuming weekly fill-ups). Some experts estimate that properly inflated tires give you an extra mile per gallon. Plus, properly inflated tires last longer and ride better.
For every pound per square inch that all four of a vehicle’s tires are under-inflated, a driver’s gas mileage is lowered by 0.4 percent. Some 3.56 million gallons of gas are wasted EACH DAY because of incorrectly-inflated tires according to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
At least once a month, use a tire gauge to make sure your tires are inflated per the tire manufacturer’s recommendation. Tire gauges are affordable, easy-to-use devices that make your fuel go farther, improve your vehicle’s handling, and prolong the life of the tires.

A wax or sealant further protects the paint by keeping it clean. A premium wax or sealant provides a barrier between contamination and the paint. Insects and bird droppings are corrosive, so the paint protection helps prevent direct contact with the paint.
Waxes and sealants are slick for a reason. By reducing surface tension, they can repel a lot of dirt and debris that would otherwise stick to the paint. As I mentioned, a lot of organic debris is corrosive. The fewer things that stick to the paint, the better.
