Peacemakers Season

Throughout September

If you want peace, you have to make a noise.

With war and peace currently dominating the world news agenda,
BBC World's Peacemakers is a timely and highly relevant season of programmes. Throughout September, BBC World will explore conflict and its resolution, investigating the causes, ramifications and possible resolution of conflicts around the world.

From Denver, Colorado there will be two lively World Debates with some of the most eminent Nobel Peace Laureates.

Special editions of HARDtalk will feature Nobel Peace Laureates, His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Prime Minister of East Timor José Ramos-Horta.

In Facing the Truth, Archbishop Desmond Tutu presides over a unique, electrifying and sometimes uncomfortable three-part series, where
victims and perpetrators of Northern Ireland's conflict come face to face
with each other for the first time.

Peacejam provides an intimate look at the lives of five American teenagers growing up in a culture of violence, and the transformation that occurs with the help of their Nobel laureate mentors.
