I'm already excited to see it again. Dreamworks' latest animated film has big laughs and action-packed, kung fu choreography, not to mention a big lovable panda bear named Po as the just-believe-in-yourself hero on a journey of self-discovery.

People need heroes because we need something to tell us what to aim for. But the problem with almost all of the "American heroes" we have been given is that they pretty much just set all the rest of us up to fail.

My hairdresser and my barista may not be out there fighting evil with their bare hands, but as I have seen in my own life and we see in the lives of Zohan's customers, coworkers, and friends, changing the world can occur one haircut or coffee cup at a time.

As much as it may be our instinct to try to preserve ourselves and our lives by hiding our mistakes, burying our flaws, and burning our indiscretions, in almost every case, the only way we will actually survive is if we do just the opposite.

In a world where we all have something to offer, and inside each of us is least the seed of Courtesy, Self-Control, Perseverance, Integrity, and Indomitable Spirit, here's to whatever you may take away from The Foot Fist Way, even if I completely missed it.

Let's face it-I really liked the idea of 300, but thought it turned out to be gratuitous, pompous, and hopeless. Meet the Spartans might be more of the same, but at least it's done with more than a fair amount of sarcasm, wit, and self-ridicule.
