TNT begins six-race broadcasting tenure
The new broadcasting deal means fewer races for FOX and six consecutive races for TNT. TNT used to broadcast races using NBC's broadcasting crew under the old deal, meaning that viewers were always wondering if the race was on cable or not. This year, all of TNT's races are consecutive and Kyle Petty will sit out those races to broadcast from the booth.

Newman talking future with Penske, but sponsorship could affect it: #12-Ryan Newman already has been in discussions about his future with Penske Racing, and now the issue is complicated with the uncertainty over sponsor Alltel. Alltel and Verizon announced Thursday that Verizon has agreed to purchase Alltel, with the transaction completed by the end of the year pending approval from industry regulators. Verizon plans to drop the Alltel brand, and NASCAR officials are adamant that Verizon cannot replace Alltel on the car because Verizon was not grandfathered in when NASCAR signed Nextel as its premier series sponsor in 2003. Will the uncertainty of the sponsor impact negotiations? "Long term, yeah, it’s going to have an influence," Newman said on Friday after qualifying at Pocono Raceway. "I don’t know what that influence is yet. Obviously, it’s new news to everybody, including most of the people at Alltel. I’ll keep doing what I usually do and see what happens." Penske Racing has a long-term deal with Alltel beyond this season, and its status might not be determined until late in the season or early next year depending on when the deal is completed and when Verizon drops the Alltel name. Newman could sign a contract without a committed sponsor but that is rare for marquee drivers. "I don’t know," Newman said when asked if he would sign without a sponsor commitment. "I have no idea how long things are going to take and what the situation is going to be like."(SceneDaily)(6-7-2008)

Cup Drivers Scheduled to test at Infineon Raceway: Six Sprint Cup Series drivers are scheduled to visit Infineon Raceway on Tuesday, June 10, for a one-day test session. NASCAR drivers expected to attend the test day include #96-J.J. Yeley, #77-Sam Hornish Jr., #6-David Ragan, #38-David Gilliland, #28-Travis Kvapil and #21-Marcos Ambrose. Most of the drivers will test the challenging 10-turn, 1.99-mile road course in late-model stock cars provided by a Northern California-based race team. Testing runs from 8:30am - 4:30pm/pt and is open to the public, FREE of charge. For more information call 800-870-RACE. Several NASCAR Camping World Series West teams and drivers are also expected at the test session, including Bennett *** Winery drivers Mike David and P.J. Jones, Fairfield's Jim Inglebright and drivers from Bill McAnally Racing out of Sacramento. These teams are preparing for the Bennett *** Winery 200, presented by Supercuts, on Saturday, June 21. The drivers will return for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR weekend, June 20-22, at Infineon Raceway. For tickets, call 800-870-RACE or visit

What if I were to tell you that there's a tested(by numerous corporate accounts), proven way that you could start using *today* to save 7-19%(that would be from 28 to 75 cents based on today's $3.95/gal regular price) on your gas bill for filling up your car? And what if you could put money in your pocket by making this product available to others?

There is - and tens of thousands of Americans are using it right now to save money.

It's been on the news, and there are countless videos on YouTube that prove it, including great pieces by FOX local stations in Dallas and Phoenix. However, surprisingly few people even know about it.

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=779DCA59F50EA8B5

Used and endorsed by the Unser family, the winningest family in the history of 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing'. 'Little Al's diesel Ford Excursion mileage has increased from 13 to 17.3MPG. And recently named 'The Official Fuel Reformulator of the Firestone Indy Lights Series'.

You can check out the details here: http://snipurl.com/29ohu-gazete

PS: In case you're wondering, this IS NOT the magic "gas pill" you may have seen on TV. You've got to watch the videos to see just what an impact this is having on people's lives:
