KENDALLVILLE — If state Senate District 13 Republicans have their say,
that senate seat will remain in LaGrange County.
District 13 caucus members selected state Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Howe,
on Saturday to replace retiring state Sen. Robert Meeks, R-LaGrange, on
the November ballot.
Stutzman will face the Democratic candidate, retired banker Fred Demske
of Avilla, in the November general election.
Stutzman, a farmer and businessman, was elected on the third ballot
Saturday morning at the caucus held at the Four County Vocational
Co-Operative office building on Dowling Street in Kendallville.
