eCityGov created an online application in which users can locate and visualize regional parks and recreational resources. Using Virtual Earth, eCityGov delivered a rich user experience, reduced the time and cost of implementation, and freed limited technology resources to focus on higher-value tasks.
Fort Gordon and Microsoft recently signed a deal that will make the post's Signal Center a Microsoft IT Academy-the company's largest in terms of student body, with an estimated 2,500 graduates a year. - Augusta Chronicle

Technology Update
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) includes the complete set of Windows Vista updates we've issued over the past year plus some enhancements to improve your PCs' performance and reliability.
Support for the final Service Pack version of SQL Server 2000, SP4, is transitioning from Mainstream Support to Extended Support. Upgrade now to Windows SQL Server 2008.
With the release of Office 2007 Service Pack 2, due in the middle of 2009, the suite will offer increased support for the Open Document Format (ODF), the XML Paper Specification and PDF 1.5, as well as PDF/Archive. - Government Technology
