![]() How To Work It: ShortsIf you forgot shorts along with your locker combo, it's time to do a re-take because like stretch denim and tinted moisturizer, designers are delivering new innovations in ultra-flattering styles, optical illusions and even sexy, yes we said sexy, overalls (sorry Deejay Tanner). What to look for: Flared Cuffs or Pleats: Essentially we want the cuff of the short to have visible room around the thigh. The silhouette created by a wide cuff or pleat makes the thigh appear thinner compared to the leg opening of the short. A size up will always look better than a size too small. Cuff Sparkle: A'la 1970's running-short, a little detail at the outer edge of the cuff makes for super-lanky legs. Check out the vintage buttons on Johnson shorts--distracting the eye in all the right places. Dark or No Wash: A dark, raw denim slims and creates a polished palette for a chic top and sandal combo. Highwaist: Legs for days. Check out our fave, the Jackie Short. | ||||||||||
