In these slower economic times, it's best for small business to take the marketing bull by the horns and do-it-yourself. This week we highlight several marketing strategies that play well during recessions. Take coupons for example. Coupon use rises with tougher economic conditions. Matthew Tilley, Director of Marketing for CMS states,"When the numbers indicate a secure economic future, consumers tend to pay less attention to coupons. But, when the numbers indicate an economic downturn, consumers turn to economizing behaviors such as using coupons." Coupons, promotions and other low-cost tactics can help your do-it-yourself marketing when times are tough. |
