Inside this issue... Where Is Your Time Going? Hi Raquelle, What are you doing with your time? This is the last weekend of May. Can you remember everything you did this spring? Can you remember the 10 most enjoyable events of the last few months? How about the top 5? This week, I made an emergency trip to Nebraska to be with my dad. One of my sisters is here also, and we just talked about being away from home, out of our normal routine. We're both pretty busy people, and being out of our normal routine seems at first a luxury, then an oddity. What do we do with ourselves? I don't believe we're alone, or even abnormal. Some of my friends' kids have 3 different evening activities on any given night. Dance lessons, softball practice, swim team meets and spring concerts make time at home diminish daily. What's so important? Why are we so frantic? Are we afraid to have less activity and more stillness? Earlier this spring I made a vow to utilize the word "No" more frequently this summer. Before I say "yes" to anything, I'll think about it long and hard. So if you hear the word "no" from me, please don't be offended. You're in good company! Dove Family-Approved Suitable for all ages Dove Review: "Ace of Hearts" delivers a winning hand! The three leads in this film, who play a husband and wife and daughter, are in excellent form and the story plays out as one of suspense and mystery. Dean Cain heads the cast as Officer Daniel Harding, a distinguished K-9 police unit member. He is very fond of his dog Ace, who is the best at chasing down criminals and villains. Ace is accused of mauling a criminal suspect, but it is Harding who suspects that the criminal inflicted the wounds on himself to escape jail. A crisis occurs when the DA dictates the dog should be euthanized. Though sometimes overlooked due to her father's busy schedule, young Julia (Britt McKillip) conducts her own investigation to prove Ace's innocence. A few twists in the story will keep the viewer glued to the screen to see the anticipated resolution. This film, free from strong language, is a good family choice for those who love to see a good story and for those who love dogs and pets. There is also a discussion on forgiving others and a biblical quote of believing without seeing. We happily award this film our Dove "Family-Approved" Seal. As a story for the heart, it's an ace all the way!
