Podcast:
(Geo)technology 2008 - Findability, Accessibility,
Portability
Wednesday's podcast prompted a question.
"Any ideas about business models to support findability, accessibility
and portability for specialized data types?"
- Charles Huyck
Adena Schutzberg responds:
"No, that really was not my focus in this presentation, but certainly
that is an issue for those organizations that wish to sell data. I
would suggest keeping an eye on what organizations do with the new
version of ArcGIS Server (which can enhance all "abilities" as I
noted)
and how WeoGeo plays out. For now GeoCommons does not have a money
aspect, but I'm sure it could."
