Urban Oil Boom

The average price of gas at the pump is soaring, reaching an average of $3.94 a gallon today. And it's those record high prices that are rejuvenating drilling projects in some of the largest oil fields in America. The enormous reserves of crude buried below Los Angeles are being profitably extracted on a large scale for the first time since the early 20th century. And it's driving an urban oil boom, producing tens of millions of barrels a year. ABC's Brian Rooney reports.

Making an Impact

A small group of inner-city teens blew away the star-studded audience at this year's Academy Awards with a powerful performance of their Oscar-nominated song, "Raise It Up." The Harlem-based Impact Repertory Theatre did not win the Oscar, but the young singers, dancers and writers who perform with the group are benefiting in more profound ways. ABC's Vicki Mabrey reports on the choir bringing hope to a community. Read more here.
