Courtesy of Insider Racing News NASCAR Says No To 2009 Kentucky Cup Race NASCAR on Friday shot down the possibility Kentucky Speedway could host a Sprint Cup Series race in the 2009 season. "The schedule we are working on for 2009 does not include a stop in Kentucky, regardless of ownership," said NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston. "I don't see any scenario where there will be a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in Kentucky. There has been no request for realignment and it's already very late in the sanctioning process."
00 gets primary sponsor for Dover: Microsoft is continuing on its commitment to connect its Small Business Specialist Community with the more than 21 million small and home-based businesses in the U.S. by announcing an additional NASCAR sponsorship opportunity with Michael Waltrip Racing. In conjunction with California-based advertising agency RainMakers International, this sponsorship will provide an affordable marketing platform for Microsoft's Small Business Specialist Partners, service providers and Small Business+ customers on both a local and national level by helping to dramatically increase their exposure. Microsoft announced in April an associate sponsorship on Michael Waltrip Racing's #00 Toyota Camry entry, driven by rookie Michael McDowell. To kick off this exciting new opportunity, the Michael Waltrip Racing #00 car will feature a full car Microsoft Small Business and SBSC primary sponsorship design for the June 1st race at Dover International Speedway in Dover, DE. In addition, the Microsoft Across America Mobile Event Experience Truck will be in the newly designed "Fan Zone" at Dover International Speedway throughout the race weekend where fans can come to view and learn more about Small Business offerings from Microsoft and this sponsorship. All three of Michael Waltrip Racing's (MWR) cars (#00, #44, #55) are in the top 35 in owner's points, which means they are guaranteed to be on the track for the upcoming races of the 2008 NASCAR season. In the event the #00 car is not in a race for whatever reason, MWR will put the SBSC Blue Badge onto one of its other two cars for that race, so it continues to have on track presence throughout the entire 2008 NASCAR season. This opportunity follows on Microsoft's earlier NASCAR sponsorship with BAM Racing.(MWR PR)(5-24-2008)Gossage not interested in Humpy's job Texas Motor Speedway president Eddie Gossage has no desire to take over for Lowe's Motor Speedway president Humpy Wheeler, who announced Wednesday he was retiring as president of the track after this weekend's Coca-Cola 600. "As long as I'm in racing, I'll be here in Fort Worth," Gossage said Wednesday. Gossage said he's confident the SMI board of directors will find the right person to replace Wheeler. He said he has a person in mind he would like to see take over at the track but didn't want to say who it was. "The board of directors will come up with a person who is in the best interest of the track," Gossage said. "It won't be me." Gossage worked for Wheeler in Charlotte from 1989 until leaving for TMS in 1995.(Fort Worth Star Telegram)(5-24-2008
___________________________________________________________ What if I were to tell you that there's a tested(by numerous corporate accounts), proven way that you could start using *today* to save 7-19%(that would be from 28 to 75 cents based on today's $3.95/gal regular price) on your gas bill for filling up your car? And what if you could put money in your pocket by making this product available to others? There is - and tens of thousands of Americans are using it right now to save money. It's been on the news, and there are countless videos on YouTube that prove it, including great pieces by FOX local stations in Dallas and Phoenix. However, surprisingly few people even know about it. http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=779DCA59F50EA8B5 Used and endorsed by the Unser family, the winningest family in the history of 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing'. 'Little Al's diesel Ford Excursion mileage has increased from 13 to 17.3MPG. And recently named 'The Official Fuel Reformulator of the Firestone Indy Lights Series'. You can check out the details here: http://snipurl.com/29ohu-gazete PS: In case you're wondering, this IS NOT the magic "gas pill" you may have seen on TV. You've got to watch the videos to see just what an impact this is having on people's lives: (advertisement)
