What's happening boys and girls?

Shanghai hace muy calor! I know. Ooooof. My a.c.'s on the fritz and I'm sitting here in my jimmies, nude thighs stuck to the faux-leather chair.

Enough about me. You're looking for the dirt - what's opening? Which venues closed due to certain spicy acts perpetuated by certain high-profile foreigners? Sorry, you're not getting any of that this week. I was at C's Monday night just chillin' in the bathroom stall and woops, due to an unfortunate angle my mobile plummeted into the, um, Shanghai sewage system. Chalk it up to yet another drunken tragedy.

Fortunately for you, the hard drive that is my massive brain conjured up a wistful image of that magical moment when Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer make goo-goo eyes at each other in flight school. Then I remembered. Sugar! Tonight. Top-Gun theme party. Better run out and buy that flight suit. I may hit that one up, but probably not. I'm thinking the Andy Warhol all-night party at Villa Oro. Swankalicious. I'll be donning my three-piece and arriving in a chauffeured car to avoid all the riff raff. Oh yeah, and if you want to read about Andy Warhol and art stuff you can click here. And before I forget, DJ Miguel Migs is gonna be at Attica this evening.

On Saturday Matt&Flo return to the scene with a Revival Party. Matt just moved back to Shanghai. What was he thinking?

What else? Well, officially China's not partying this week because of the earthquake tragedy in Sichuan province. That was some terrible news. But guess what? It's ok to have a good time as long as all the money goes to help out some victims. How do I know this? No, God didn't tell me. Earthquake charity events say it's so. HBD, Drunk Monk, YuFah, VNutz, Fortune, R3, Adept, Nat Alexander, Shanghai Ultra, Siesta and Viceroy are all playing for FREE at tonight at The Shelter Foundation. And on Saturday there's an Electro Trash Charity at The Seven with Alan Shanyinde, DJ Mr Tsang and DJ Sandwich.

On the other hand, that No Name Album release party thing-y got postponed because of the earthquake. Somehow those dudes were affected. Major bummer. In other live music news, Cold Blooded Animal is promoting their latest CD "Just One Desire" at Live Bar tonight.

One last thing before I go shed these sweat-soaked skivvies. There's a mini-Broadway Cabaret called "Words He Doesn't Say" showing tonight at 5 on the Bund and Sunday at Kathleen's 5 Rooftop Restaurant. Simply divine.

What's that you say? I sound different today? No I'm not ailing you nosy swine. As it so happens, yesterday was one stressful muther' effer and this morning I washed down my usual liquid breakfast with a handful of Valium.

Son. So stop asking questions.

Da Admiral
