  ACADIA NATIONAL PARK
Acadia offers spectacular scenery: mountains, rocky coast, ocean, gardens, lighthouses, and even a fjord. Cadillac Mountain is the first place in the U.S. to see sunlight each morning. There are plenty of easy-to-moderate trails. While summer is the most popular time to visit, May, June, and September are lovely and less crowded. Be sure to pick up our Trails Illustrated® map when you go!

Ever wanted a huge map for a kid's room, den, school, office, or boardroom? We have mural versions, approximately 6 by 9 feet, of two world maps and one U.S.A. map. Our partner mapsales.com can produce even larger sizes of these maps, as well as various sizes and mounting options for nearly 50 different National Geographic reference maps.

If you like maps and jigsaw puzzles, time yourself and challenge your friends to solve our atlas map jigsaw puzzles.
USGS Topographic Maps
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) publishes the most detailed series of topographic maps covering the entire U.S.A.. The largest-scale maps are the 7.5 minute series. Each map, or quadrangle, covers 7.5 minutes of latitude and longitude. Their scale is 1:24,000, or 2.64 miles to the inch. USGS quads contain exquisite detail not found on any other map set — definitely not on computer-generated maps. That is why our outdoor recreation digital map products use high-resolution digital scans of the printed USGS topo maps.
