Two weeks from this Saturday on June 7, the Belmont Stakes will be run, with the opportunity for "Big Brown" to etch his name in the record books as the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978. We'll have a lot more on that this Saturday, but first things first. Memorial Day weekend is almost upon us and it traditionally serves up  some of the best racing that's presented in the U.S. each year, with many G1 and G2 stakes being run all over the country. We'll have five races in our Racing Newsletter on Sat.-Sun.-Mon. with all the major tracks open on Memorial Day itself. The highlight of the Holiday being the running of the prestigious "Metropolitan" hdcp. from Belmont Park.

Today, with no rain in the forecast, we have selected four turf races from Belmont.

Tuesday's Results: Delaware Park Race #2 Exacta second pick with Top Pick (5-7) $23.00. Trifecta (5-7-4) $46.60. 

Delaware Park Race #4 Exacta second pick with Best Bet (6-4) $21.00. 

Delaware Park Race #6 Top Pk. #2 (J.D's Softtail) Finished second $8.60 to place. 

Delaware Race #10 Exacta third pick with Top Pick (6-5) $69.60.

BELMONT PARK Race #FOUR (2:35 PM Eastern)

(# 2) El Tamberito - Gets to try the turf for the first time after finishing second in three consecutive dirt races, the latest which was an "off the grass" contest. Blinkers go on for Richard Dutrow and I'll give him the slightest of edges over the #10(Bontempi)

(# 10) Bontempi - Strong contender ran a winning race in last from a poor post at Aqueduct. Made a strong bid while wide to reach the front, then was out-finished by a much more experienced rival. Barclay Tagg names Coa, one of his favorites.

(# 8) Burnished Copper - His previous turf races put him squarely in the middle of this. Has a mid-pack style and should get a decent pace to rally into. Contender for all the money slots.

(# 6) Alpha Dancer - Wide on the Big "A's" tight course in his only turf race. Working sharply and a very hot turf trainer (Dave Donk) names one of his favorite's (Johnny V.) for this.
