	from Jen Hubley I only watch reality TV shows featuring ghosts or Tim Gunn, so I'm woefully behind when it comes to American Idol. This means that I am somewhat of an outcast among my friends. The only thing I have to contribute to conversation today is, "I liked 'Straight Up.' Do you think they'll have Paula sing that?"

American Idol Finale 2008: A Tale of Two Davids
Both of the final competitors are named David. David Archuleta was on Star Search, which automatically makes him awesome. Star Search was a huge part of my childhood TV viewing, second only to Solid Gold in my affections. Solid Gold had a puppet. Otherwise, they would have been tied.
