Animal Ark
By Kate Honarvar

Hello everyone! We’re finishing up our move today, going from our tiny little space to a much larger one. I’m very excited because the new office is much closer to my house, and with the price of gas…. But I’m sure you all know about that.

I went through and credited everyone for their submissions used in the past several newsletters, so if I used anything you sent in, you should have credit in your pcPurse. If you still do not, let me know and I’ll get you taken care of.

Happy crafting!

Libby

Instructions:

Step 1. I wanted to share with you the birthday cake I decorated for my dad's 60th birthday this weekend. My mom requested a gardening or outdoor theme for his cake. I first went to Kroger to find what they had, only to find out they don't do that theme. Then, I had the idea of using pcCrafter graphics to decorate it myself!
Step 2. I fixed small flower pots with crushed Oreo in them.

Step 3. Click here for full instructions, supplies, and to see how it turned out!

Top Tip:
When dry embossing with a template or texture plate always tape your paper down on 2 to 4 sides with low tack or temporay stick tape. If you are using a heavy cardstock give the paper a light spray with a water mister to help it take shape with less effort.

What I Have Learned:
What I have learned about scrapbooking and card making is that I never have everything I need. If I need pink ribbon then I have red ribbon but no pink. If the ribbon needs to be 1/4 inch wide I will have every other width but that. I'm always having to run to the store to pick something up that I just can't do without. Hey girls, am I alone on this or is everyone else all stocked up?

About:
Hi my name is Sandy Briggs and I joined pcCrafter a few years ago. As a national newsletter editor for a support group for heart patients and their families I was constantly looking for cute clip art to fill spots in my own newsletter or in sending out a newsletter to all of the editors across the country.

pcCrafter really hit the mark for me as I could select graphics for so many different artists. One of my very favorite artists is Rebbeca Carter and I would like to share with you why she is a personal favorite of mine. Four years ago our organization started a program for children and families with congenital heart defects and we wanted to create a note card that would be cute to send as a birthday card or even a thank you card. Ms. Carter allowed us to utilize two of her creations and it made a huge impact on the CHD community. It is people like Ms. Carter that inspire me to create things that are lasting and can touch the heart of those who receive a finished project.

I would like to thank pcCrafter for having such an outstanding web site and making clip art fun.
Heartfully-
Sandy Briggs
