[5] New development decided using 3D myVR models

For the first time in Norway digital 3D models will be used as a
primary selection criterion by the jury in an architectural design
competition. Through the use of virtual, dynamic 3D myVR models
provided by different architectural design teams, an equal, better and
more thorough decision making process will be employed in the plan and
design competition for the new gigantic city centre at Okern in Oslo,
Norway.

[6] Helical staircase off Park ***

Spiral construction have just completed an incredible helical
staircase for a luxury mews house off Park ***. Restrictions of
the existing structure would normally meant a conventional centre
column spiral stair was the only option, but Spiral designed a helical
stair with the inner stringer specially produced from a single steel
tube to a radius far smaller than would be possible to manufacture in
normal circumstances

[7] Single room pack fast-tracks underfloor heating

Two special versions of Schluter-Systems' award-winning underfloor
heating system have been developed for small extensions and
conservatories. Providing an entire underfloor heating system in one

[9] Spelsberg cable glands 90 percent faster to fit

Spelsberg els UK has extended its range of enclosure accessories to
include three new grommet seals from Swedish manufacturer TST. The
range includes a basic gland seal, the TSS grommet for less demanding
low-cost applications, the rubber based Rutaseal and the innovative
Klikseal locking grommet. All three are push-fit designs and so are
very quick to install, taking 90% less time than a conventional cable
gland, they also provide ingress protection to IP67 and cost also
considerably less than a traditional plastic cable gland.
