On May 15, the California Supreme Court ruled for the
legality of same-sex marriage. Last year, Tufts graduate
and Massachusetts Gay and Lesbian Political Caucus co-chair
Arline Isaacson saw her hard work pay off when the
Massachusetts Legislature rejected a proposed
constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage in the
state.

Did You Know?
The school colors of Tufts University are brown and blue.
Though this color combination was chosen by the student
body in 1876, the colors were not made officially the
colors of Tufts until 1960, when the Trustees voted on the
matter.

Ecuador's Galapagos Islands are a haven for both unique
species and deep-pocketed tourists, creating a potential
for colliding interests. Tufts' Michael Romero remarked on
