The accomplishments of individuals with proven leadership skills, all before reaching middle age, saw their moment in the spotlight. The Journal Record hosted the Achievers Under 40 event at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention
Center on Thursday afternoon. Forty young professionals were recognized for their strong commitment to the Sooner State. After receiving a record 170 nominations, the achievers were chosen by a committee of area leaders. |

PSO wants 20% utility bill increase |
Electricity customers in the Tulsa area can expect to see a 20-percent jump in their electricity bills based on fuel costs alone, if fuel cost adjustment electricity utility Public Service Company of Oklahoma filed with the Oklahoma

If the business plans pitched by Oklahoma college students in Las Vegas this week are any indicator, the state's economic future is bright, Sam Walls III said Wednesday. "Oklahoma fielded some really solid teams, there's no question about
it. These guys were tough," said Walls, one of the judges of the Donald W. Reynolds Tri-State Award, the final stage of the annual Governor's Cup Collegiate Business Plan Competition.
