GUEST HOST: NEIL DIAMOND Since we have a channel that bears his name, Neil Diamond figured we'd be cool with letting him host. So, when he asked, we were like, "No, sorry ... kidding!" Of course everyone is jazzed about Neil taking the reins of Neil Diamond Radio. He'll be playing some of his favorite songs, including some of his songs covered by other artists. And he'll talk about the songs on his new album — #1 on the Billboard charts at the moment, by the way — Home Before Dark. LOU REED'S NEW YORK SHUFFLE Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Lou Reed is the latest legendary musician to join the SIRIUS team of DJs, which also includes Little Steven Van Zandt, David Johansen, Grandmaster Flash, Fred Schneider, Joan Jett and DJ Red Alert. His show — Lou Reed's New York Shuffle — will be co-hosted by music producer Hal Willner and will be on SIRIUS Disorder on Saturdays, from 6 pm to 8 pm ET. Lou says he'll be playing everything from rock to country to jazz to opera and everything in between, so expect to be surprised. THE GRATEFUL DEAD CHANNEL INTERVIEW FILES The Grateful Dead Channel has rebroadcast some pretty cool interviews with members of The Grateful Dead and their collaborators; some of the interviews have dated back a few decades. This week, tune in to hear something recorded just last month: Bob Weir and Micky Hart held a press conference on April 24 to announce the donation of The Grateful Dead Archives to the University Of California at Santa Cruz.. The greatest music from the coolest artists: It's The Best Radio On ... And The Internet.
